And now, the long-awaited results for the 2007 RoD awards!
We had a really good turnout with votes this year (which is partly why it
took me a while to count them), with some categories having phenomenal
variances, and some being very very close. Keep in mind that all winners
have been listed as their main/best well known character, and the order
listed is in order of votes (most, second-most, third-most).
You'll notice some... unexpected winners in some categories. Best wishes to
the happy couples. But seriously, as usual, the RoD awards are totally
meaningless and all in good fun. So enjoy!

On a bright and clear Saturday afternoon, in the rose garden of their home,
Alexander and Aniprom Trueheart hosted the wedding of their daughter, Keanne.
And across the realms the announcement went out:
The Truehearts and StarProfits invite one and all to the wedding of Keanne
and Kilkenny, and one by one the guests arrived.
Llamasrul, Yaeger, Miguel, Canafayin, Alucard, Petrograd, Falennt, Gaignun
Egon, and Sunya.
The traditional ceremony began with an acknowledgement of the sanctity of
marriage the joy that it can bring to a relationship.
Vows and rings were exchanged, with tears glistening in the eyes of the
guests and pride beaming from the face of the father of the bride.
Across the realms the announcement rang:
All the Realms rejoice in the union of two hearts. Congratulate the newly weds,
Kilkenny and Keanne StarProfit.
Then chaos reigned as all rained praise and best wishes on the new couple
before Romani provided transportation to whisk the pair away for a brief and
secluded honeymoon.

Greetings my good friends,
Yet another month has passed and it seems that time has been slipping by like
sand in an hour glass. I have seen many years go by, I lost old friends but in
addition made new ones along the way.
Many thoughts have crossed my mind since the words of war have spread through
the lands. Just what is it that we are trying to ultimately achieve?
Fame, fortune, victory? Whatever it might be, if we vanquish those around us...
who do we share our stories with or hear tales of old? What is the point to
erase an entire nation and its history? How bland would the world be if only
one race ruled the earth? So many questions but so little answers.
Alas, here I go again. An old owls melancholic thoughts. As you might have
noticed at this point, I tend to drift away from the matter at hand. I shall
stop myself here and continue in obliging my duty to report the current events.
Familiar faces have found their way back to the Island of Irrybis. Among them
my own master, Amaris Elvea'Saa along with her servant Mara. Both were not
meant to spend time in Arborlon and I foresee confrontations in the future
with both Octavian Elvea'Saa, her father, and her husband Ka'el Cuthalion.
I cherish my master dearly but I am afraid she gets herself in trouble one too
many times. However, time has proven that her path is protected and that she
will prevail in those circumstances presented to her.

Although I am not a particular enthusiast of what some might call "rumour mill"
I will have to mention a few things that have come to my ears.
Strange things seem to surround our Tari Anabaena as of late. Not only has she
been seen sneaking away from her royal bodyguards but as rumour has it, she was
brought into relation with a group by the name of "The Baali". Physical changes
have been reported as well, mismatched eyes and a mysterious vine draped
around her leg make way for many speculations.
Back to the facts, my friends:
- Voardaerin Icewrayth has been announced as the Leader of the Magi Council
- Bertushanon Dublas has returned to the Island and is running the Inn again
- Alessia and Anduin Narvinye have offered their help in the times of war
- Several fleets of the Pixie and Lizardmen Nation are ashore to aid the Elves
- The Tinu Elena has set sail carrying several mages towards the orc fleet,
lead by Voardaerin who has also dispatched mages to the other nation ships
- Preparations across the Elven army continue as the battle draws near

Spring has settled nicely over the Vale of Nidaros. New fawns frolic along
side their mothers near the brook, birds sing and drops dew cling to the soft
petals of the blossoms.
The winds are soft and warm as they blow through the branches of the elder
trees, carrying with them tales of war in far off lands.
Other than the arrival of a few refugees and one fleeing pixie seeking shelter
there has been little to trouble those living within the protections of the
Vale.
The gates remain closed to the city during the times of unrest amoung the tall
walkers, and so they shall remain.

The gnome built Balista defenses are well emplaced and fully functional.
Dateline DarkHaven - Cryil's Slot Bots
With extreme pleasure, Klaatu, the Benevolent, announces a major win on one of
the Slot Bots in DarkHaven. Klaatu suspends tax payments until the end of the
fiscal year and supplemental benefits to the populace. Also, a contribution
will be made to the Inahir Protectorate Chieftain for services performed.
Dateline Opallinoc - Uruk'hai Armed Forces
The Uruk'hai Expeditionary Force and other elements of various Septs have been
retrained and refitted with new equipment. The Funds for this were paid with
Klaatu's slot bot endeavor. Volstagg, the Catacomb dweller was heard to comment
"At least he didn't blow it on that lap dancer in Thul again"

Dateline Irrybis: The Combined Pixie/Elf/Lizardpeople Fleet is awaiting
the arrival of the Half-orc Galleon. It is rumored that the ship is being
escorted by several wyverns. Air Vice Marshall Eashavir spoke to reporters
and says that we are ready for them and we have some tricks up our sleeves.
Pixie and Half-ogre forces are still working on the conflict on the northern
plain and the barren peaks. Officials still say WMD's are still an option

Ten years ago the nation's of the realms were each given a missive. The
missive was to create their own hometown and bring it into the Realms.
In honor of the many years of hard work and diligence of the citizens in each
of the nations I have commissioned the my workers to install plaques listing
the names of all the Nation Leaders known through the last ten years. Each of
the plaques are crafted to suit the nation in which it is placed.
Their Leader names stand as a reminder of the lineage of the leadership of
each Nation through the spans of time.

Greetings everyone!
Sorry about the lateness of this edition, I know some of you have been
waiting in anticipation for it. Basically, along with my end-of-semester
university exams/projects being over the past couple of weeks, last weekend
my city was hit by a massive storm and half of the city was flooded. My
bedroom carpet is still drying and I could only move back into it a couple
of days ago.
So, my apologies, but some things can't be helped, I tried to get it up as
