Another month, another Cry... and in what seems to be the new
norm, its another month of flux for the Cry. We bid fond
farewells to Zishum and Carlie, who have left the Cry to pursue
other interests off the mud. They've both been excellent writers
in their short time here.
But, there's another goodbye. Unless something extremely
drastic happens in the future, this will be my last issue in
charge of the Cry. A mix of issues means that, unfortunately,
I just don't have time to edit the Cry these days. However, I'll
be passing on the mantle of Editor to the more-than-capable Myra.
No doubt she'll be taking the Cry to places I couldn't quite
manage ;) Oh, and for those interested.. the CoD PK League that
I tried to set up has been abandoned, after only three teams
were entered. Thanks to those that did enter, and I'd applaud
any future efforts to get a similar idea going.
Well, that's all I guess. Seems like a bit of an anti-climax.
Its been a fun few months. Congratulations Myra, and I hope
that everyone has a fantastic summer.

Rixie passed her Pledge Review, we congratulate her on a job
well done. After many years of service the guild's monkey boy,
has decided to leave us for a while and will no longer be the
Head of our Emm program, we wish you all the best Merf. Mineas

Jaapony:
So we're at this crazy party with lots of people, and I'm
hitting it up with this chick pretty well. I'm an experienced
mudsexer and all so I'm feeling pretty confident. So I'm coming
onto her strong and I whisper into her ear. 'Yo girl, there be
some mad seth pops after we're done tonight if you do me right!'.
Then she gives me the weirdest look ever and runs off to talk to
her friends. So I'm waiting for her to come back to her senses,
but she doesn't. So I keep drinking the night away and wake up
on one of those pony rides at the carnival that go round and
round in the morning with vomit on my clothes.

A couple of summers ago I was playing Realms a lot, probably far
too much really. And let's just say my social interaction
outside of work was a little lacking as well. So a few times on
the phone in the middle of my conversations, I would start a
sentence by saying 'say ...'. Of course I would suddenly then
realize that I actually wasn't playing Realms, so I'd have to
quickly cover it up and make it appear that I actually meant to
say that. Like, say, how about that basketball game last night?
Fortunately I've moved a little beyond that time. Say ... how
about we go catch a movie tonight?
Xandrina:
I was sitting in class one day and someone asked me if I had
any gum. I started looking through my backpack to realize tho I
usually did have gum, I had left my pack in my other backpack
that day. But when I went to tell the friend that I had left
my gum in my other backpack, instead I informed them, "I left
it on my other char." I don't think that friend asked me for
anything for a while after that. :P

Cassa and I just wanted to check in with everyone while we enjoy
our cruise of the Sea of Tranquility. We've found the cabana
boys on our ship to be quite nice, but we did not want you, our
treasured pretties, to think we'd forgotten you. Our Timely
Tidbits will return next month along with our beautifully tanned
bodies. Until then, caviar dreams and champagne wishes for
everyone.

I recently got mudmarried and my beautiful wife decided to
hyphenate her name so that she could keep her family name while
taking my own. My problem is that someone recently suggested to
me that by my own intention of not taking her name as well, I
was insulting both her and her family. What do you think?

Dear Confused Newlywed,
My first response is to tell this person that it is non of his
or her business what you and your new bride decide to do with
family names. Secondly, have you spoken with your wife or her
family about their expectations? Often times, small things can
be resolved with a simple question. Otherwise, a mountain can
be made out of a molehill.

I'm warning you now, you lousy agent, this is the last time! I

Anyway...about that name problem. Your wife is perfectly
entitled to choose to retain her family name as well as taking
on your name. Whether it's a good idea or not remains to be
seen...is her new name nice? Or vulgarly verbose? Think
vanity...think it again and again! In terms of your taking her
family name...if it's such a big offence to the family and to
her, I imagine you'd have heard about it directly by now. If
they really are angry and feel slighted but have not told you...
well you've probably got more to worry about. Talk to your wife
and find out how she really feels.
Bottom line - Don't worry...There's always divorce.

Unless you are completely psychotic, I would be careful on how
you use the term "stalking." Now then, if you are really serious
about getting this guy's attention, just pay attention. You can
find out what he likes and things he does without necessarily
stalking him. Use that to find a way to put yourself in his line
of sight. Let cupid take over from there.

Well lady, I like your style... so I'm going to be like your
fairy godmother on crack. Forget pumpkins and lame old slippers,
here's my top 10 bits of advice.
10)Wash regularly. This helps.
9) Wear something eyecatching (requires taste).
8) Hassle his friends.
7) If he has no friends, cease proceedure.
6) Hire a good spy. At this stage you want vital stats...
5) If his vitals are virtually invisible...abandon ship.
4) Follow him, enter his world, and establish yourself in it.
3) Use any and all methods to appear better than you really are.
2) Gradually fake pregnancy. Use progressively bigger cussions.
Keep stalking.
1) When the time is right, confront him in public, slapping him
and blaming him for your 'pregancy'. If you have prepared
correctly, things should fall delightfully in to place.

I think that this is a subject that comes up more often than we
would prefer, immortals and mortals alike. Many of us come from
different areas of the world. This means different countries,
different cultures, different religions, and much more. It is an
unfortunate, but true, fact that many do not know and do not
understand how someone else could be different and how they may
react to something you have said. I, myself, have encountered
this more than once in my seven months in the Realms as well as
my years online before that.
Many people do not have trouble with "joking around," "bashing,"
or any other creative word that someone can devise to replace
the word "teasing." There really is no excuse for insulting
another person or making them feel bad for no other reason than
our own enjoyment of their despair. This is not the way to treat
people. The pain of an insult is something that no one deserves.

Now what defines "teasing?" There are many forms of it. It can
be something as simple as laughing at another's misfortune, a
newbie falling into a deathtrap or similar situation. Even
ridiculing someone over a simple question may be considered
teasing. However "stupid" it may seem, that player asks in hope
for a serious answer.
It could also be anything purposefully done or said that someone
could be insulted by. I have found many ways that I have been
insulted in the past. Because of my Jewish heritage, anything
pro-Nazi, negative about "Jews," or the like hurts me terribly.

Likewise, I have trouble with anyone making fun of people with
learning disabilities or similar circumstances that they have
no control over. Even if I am not the target of the ridicule or
a member of the "group" being teased, other things pain me. I
have friends among those groups. Anyone who discriminates or
teases because of race, looks, social/financial status,
disabilities, and anything similarly not under a person's
direct control is just wrong.
I have seen people badly hurt from this sort of activity, myself
among them. Howver, I fight back, too. I know two people who
will never say anything against me again, as they know better
now. Many others know how I feel, and they are very aware that
I will not hesitate to hurt a person physically so that another
will not be hurt mentally.

Why the violence? No, I am not anyone who would carry around a
weapon and start whacking anyone that makes the slightest
Wremark. However, I feel that people who continue to commit such
acts, even after I have warned them or let them know I do not
appreciate their words actions actions, deserve more than my
continued warnings. Violence is my last resort. I use it only
out of pain and reason only if it is completely necessary. Some
people have to understand when enough is enough.
We are all different. Because of our differences, we should try
to be more understanding of each other and what may or may not
be defined as an insult. Even if your country, state, city,
family, or any other reasoning does not consider it an insult,
does not mean that another person of a different background will
consider the same words or phrase to be inoffensive.

I recognize that the definition of an insult varies from person
to person. I cannot say that I have never insulted another person
before, but I can say this:
I apologized sincerely and told them why I said what I had said.
It really does make a difference, and one of the people that I
had done this to in the past is currently a good friend of mine.
In summary... please do not take for granted that something will
not be overly offensive or insulting to someone else. In the
diverse community that we play in, it is just not an assumption
that is likely to be true.

hands: -- one was the Genius Creator, the other was the Genius
Perciever.
Both they saw the Devil at their side, and Messiah in
themselves. Perception had named Creation 'Sin', for he had
rewritten the words of God, Creation had named Perception
'Blind', for he trusted them more than himself.
I said to them then: Is it not so, that the Genius Creators's
Creation, is child to the Genius Perciever's Perception: Is it
not so, Genius Perciever, that your marvel at the words of God,
is marvel at Genius Creator's sweetest Creation?

did I, so I took their hands and strolled happily onward, as
