Written By: Shingo\n======================================================================\n\n The Symposium has been quite busy lately, almost doubling it's active\n ranks. A few articles back, I had mentioned that Torinir was the\n Representative for the Guild of Augurers, and this was a mistake.\n Torinir was the new Arcanes Rep and Zellon has joined on as the\n Aurgurer's Rep. Raemakoin has signed on as the new Guild of Druids\n Rep and Cardan is the new Ascendere Rep. Kyrstal joins us as the\n Guild of Vampires Representative, and Linda now represents the\n Ranger's Guild. We also added a large number of other members, some\n of whom don't represent anyone but you, the public.\n\n Those people are Mecil, Frank, Skaphia, Laine, Fentrissa and Pandry.\n We've added some mortal deadlies, a first for the Symposium. Thus far,\n two deadlies have joined us, Cafezaki of Merida and Luneranik of\n Illuminati. They will be representing their respective clans.\n\n We will still be talking to the remaining clans to find their\n representatives as well as talk to a few remaining At Large\n applicants, however, as of now, Applications are closed until further\n notice. Written By: Shingo\n======================================================================\n\n For increased productivity, The Symposium has decided to take on a\n new style. We will be separating into 3 subcommittees, each will be\n responsible for a different section of ideas.  One will handle all\n spells\/skills that are brought up, another will handle any class\/race\n ideas and the last will work on building ideas, something rarely done\n in TS before, but we're looking to change that.\n\n In this new style, each subcommittee has a separate meeting day,\n where they will handle any proposals that fall into their area. This\n eliminates much of the debate at a normal Symposium meeting. All\n ideas having been discussed in one week will be brought up in one\n final draft, a perfect formal proposal for the approval of the main\n meeting. It is here, that your public ideas, or your organization's\n idea will be voted upon, and the originator behind the idea will be\n notified of it's progress.\n\n One of the subcommittee's is responsible for handling area proposals.\n This doesn't mean that we accept your areas, but we will accept\n proposals for any changes you want to see to an existing area. Keep in\n mind that areas built by players are tough to change, because we\n require the consent of those players.\n\n======================================================================\nThe Symposium News . This is a delicate section of Realms, so only SERIOUS\n proposals will be considered. If you want to change your race's\n hometown, contact Edmond or Lascivias.\n\n We take this chance now, to also warn those who have joined, or have\n considered joining The Symposium. If you fall inactive, or misbehave\n during meetings, you will be outcast. I think. It's been so long since I've left my home that I don't\nknow anymore. When I was little, my parents told me not to wander\noff past the trees. I didn't listen, I was curious and I was old enough,\nI had been able to fly on my own for a full year now. I only went a little\nways past the mountains in the distance, they looked so close. It started\ngetting dark by the time I turned to go back. Everything looked the same\nin the fading daylight, so I headed the direction I thought I had come\nfrom. I must have walked for two days straight. The forest had vanished,\nit wasn't where it was supposed to be. I tried calling for my parents\nuntil I started to go hoarse, but I kept walking. I found great plains\nof nothing but sand as far as the eye can see. It was hot and I was\ntired...and scared, I had never been anywhere where there were no trees,\nuntil now. I was never going to find the forest, my home, or my parents.\nWhen I woke up, there was someone standing over me. They knelt down and\ngave me a waterskin. I never realized how good warm water tasted! She\nasked me why I was out here. I told her my story and the name of the lands\nI had come from. She had never heard of them. She lead me to a town called\nDarkhaven and gave me a little gold to buy some food with. She left north-\neast and I followed her. She took me in and taught me the ways of nature.\nI became her student and she became my mother...not my real mother, but \nLinda is the only mother I would know now.\n\n======================================================================\nWant-Ads .
