How long have you been on RoD? \n I've been on RoD since late 2001.\n2. How long ago did you join your org? \n I joined the GoC in 2008.\n3. How long ago did you become the leader in your org?\n I became the leader of the GoC about a year ago.\n4. How did you become the leader? \n I became leader because we wanted some more activity in the guild, and it\nhappened fairly shortly after that.\n5. How have you changed your org? Or helped to keep it from changing?\n I have tried to get new people involved, and have helped it adapt to the\nnewest Cleric changes. Being able to help out is the best thing I try to do. \n6. How have you seen your org change over time?\n I have seen its activity slow down a little, but we have some new people\nwho are amazingly fun and skilled. It's a great family.\n7. What is the funniest thing that has happened in your org? \n The funniest thing.. we often get liquored up and unleash armies of ankle-\nbiting gnomes into the guild. To chase around angry gnomes when you cant\ngo where you want can be a blast.\n9. Is there anything you miss about not being a leader?\n I am a leader, so I don't miss not being a leader? :)\n10. Where do you see your org going\/doing in the future? \n I see us continuing onward, helping out new Clerics and keeping the\nguild a welcoming place for anyone who is willing to give it a try. How long have you been on RoD? \n Off and on as a deadly since 1998, I made my first peaceful in 2006\n2. How long ago did you join your org? \n 2006 initially, I left on good terms for another great order in early 2008\nand reapplied to Ascendere with a friend in Late 2009.\n3. How long ago did you become the leader in your org?\n I became the fifth leader of Ascendere in May of 2010.\n4. How did you become the leader? \nHistorically each leader of Ascendere has served for approximately three\nyears. The time came for Foxarius to step down, it was late and I was the only\nmember online.\n5. How have you changed your org? Or helped to keep it from changing?\n Ascendere is an order filled with intelligent and mature players,\nleadership here is a figurehead position that mostly entails inducts\/outcasts\nof alts, acting as a contact point for Imms and other org leaders, and\ncleaning up the weight in the donations room. Change\nin our order is generally subtle and the result of effort by multiple\nmembers.\n6. How have you seen your org change over time?\n Our players are older and experienced as a general rule, so real life\noften calls them away from the game for one reason or another.  Most keep\nin contact through Skype, or our forums, and though they take breaks off\nthey'll usually step in to run or explore the game content added since \nthey were here last.  That being the case our activity is always in flux,\nso the Order changes in that regard. Our activities are dependent upon\nthe number and skill level of the members logging at any given time, \nthough we always remain a collegial group of players interested more in\nthe attainment of knowledge and camaraderie than worldly goods.\n7. What would you say is the must fun about being in your org?\n Easily the members, they're all unique in their own way.  We have top\ntier questers, explorers, runners, and pkillers at one end of the spectrum\nbut we also have guys like Arlo.  \n                               (Cont'd CRY7)\n\nCRY7\n           \/\\                           \n _         )( _________________________________________________________  \n(_)\/\/\/\/\/\/\/(**)_________________________________________________________>  \n           )(                          \n Page 7    \\\/    Order Spotlight- Ascendre - Kadgeon\n\nWe have to leave heals on the ground for him because after 10 \nyears playing he still doesn't understand the buy command.\nSeeing the unique personalities interact is easily one of \nmy favorite parts of our Order.\n8. What is the funniest thing that has happened in your org? \nWhen I bought my house, I wrote the description in the main room to say\nsomething to the effect of 'You've logged into a strange new area built \nespecially for the Heroes of the Realms.  Do not take the opportunity lightly\nbecause once you leave, you'll never return.  Through this area is small the \nrewards it holds are items of great power.' Then I put an empty crate in each\nof the other rooms and wrote a puzzle like description that suggested if you \nsaid the right phrase or used the right social an item would appear in the\ncrate. After everything was set up, Ceir loaded Foxarius and trans'd her into\nthe main room, we also used the gag on Tinildur.  It was hilarious to watch \nordertalk and skype as they spent hours exploring \"The Hall of Heroes.\"\n9. Where do you see your org going\/doing in the future? \nWe've been one of leading organizations in the game since our inception.\nWe also continue to play actively even in the leanest of times, I think Asc\nwill continue to remain on the forefront of exploration and running for\nas long as the game stays online.  We have a collection of some of the most\ntalented players to ever play the game, but more than that our membership \nis a collection of fun, unique, individuals that enjoy playing together, so\nour future is really just a matter of maintaining the good thing we've got\ngoing.\n+1 Is your org currently accepting applications?\nOur applications are always open, though we have a comparatively long\nadmissions process in an effort to get to truly know applicants and gauge\nhow well they'll mesh with the membership.  Priority is placed on personality,\nconduct, and interest\/activity level.  We can teach a player to run, explore, \nand\/or quest, so innate qualities such as, drive, loyalty, and a willingness\nto learn are commodities we value in an applicant. He had been\nhand chosen by the Thain to keep an eye on things while she was away.\n\nToo bad she did not expect him to throw so many parties! A party for everything\nit seemed. He threw one because he seen what he thought was a rare and\nbeautiful \nbutterfly! But it turned out just to be a normal, every day butterfly. He threw\none because someone said they might propose to someone. A cat grooming machine (tm). Liberating a few coins from his\npurse, he was able to make the winning bid for this item. After reading\nthe instructions on how to use the grooming machine, Volstagg just had to\nget a cat and try it out. Not having any cats, he set out on the task of\ngetting a cat or two. Traveling to Ocean Keep, the machine didn't work\non kittens and the mother cat reacted by rearing up with its claws,\nscratching at him in sheer terror as he attempted to insert the cat\nthe cat grooming machine (tm).\n\nLooking for more cats to experiment with, Volstagg headed to the \nHigh Tower of Sorcery. There, he went to the black, grey, white and \ncalico cats. Volstagg then went back to the white cat. As he applied the cat\ngrooming machine (tm) upon a white cat, strange things begin to happen. The\nwhite cat was naive enough to think that he meant it no harm and allowed him to\nplace the cat grooming machine (tm) upon it. As the cat grooming machine (tm)\nbegan to work on a white cat, the purring of the cat suddenly stoped. Something\nwithin the cat grooming machine (tm) went awry and the white cat suddenly burst\ninto a messy, bloody goo. Volstagg will continue to seek out new cats to try\n\nCRY27\n           \/\\                           \n _         )( _________________________________________________________  \n(_)\/\/\/\/\/\/\/(**)_________________________________________________________>  \n           )(                          \n Page 27    \\\/    Nation News: Half-Ogre - Klaatu\n\nFrom the Opallinoc News Bureau for November, 2012\n\nDateline: Areas near Darkhaven\nVolstagg, the Catacomb Dweller, was still seeking cats for the cat grooming\nmachine (tm). He thought that a cat would have cravings and a strong desire\nto feel sated by being stuffed. Thus, Volstagg trekked to various inns near\nDarkhaven looking for food items a cat would crave. Among the fishmongers,\nthe cats there were just to stinky to even bother trying the cat grooming\nmachine (tm) on.  While scouring the dumpsters behind other inns, he saw more\nof the descendants of the Edel's widdling rats than any cats. Volstagg went\nto New Ofcol. Marshall Diana pointed him to the local posting board ot the New\nOfcol Scrawl. Nothing of note there either. Being thristy, he then sought out\nGranny Jenkins for some of her \"elixir\". Granny told of some of her widowed\nfriends that died and left their entire estates to their favorite cat. Well,\ncats have heard those stories too and have spent most of their skulking,\ndevious little life dreaming about inheriting your money. You know where the\ncats go when they disappear for hours at a time?
