Individually each event \nmay have been insignificant but when viewed together I fear they portend \nto foul events looming on the horizon. Though I am alone in my concerns, \nI remain watchful and have recorded my thoughts and observations herein. \n\nApproximately a fortnight ago a number of intruders were detected and \neliminated from the tower. At the time I, like my brethren, paid little \nheed to the matter once they were disposed of. It is not uncommon \nfor ordinary people to envy the powers held here and by extension an \nincursion by a group is not a cause for concern.\n\nI have subsequently learned, however, that the intruders were able to \nbypass the normal detection spells and defenses and were actually \nfound inside the tower grounds and even up among the assorted floors \nwhere we study, practice, perform our various tasks and even store \nassorted artifacts. To have made it so far without alerting the guards \nand the Mistress is highly unusual. I have checked the records but \nfound no precedent for this event in recent history.\n\n\n \/\\ \n _ )( _________________________________________________________ \n(_)\/\/\/\/\/\/\/(**)_________________________________________________________> \n )( \n Page 5 \\\/ A Record from the HToS - Belkira \n\nIn the following week a number of rumors began to circulate regarding \nthe state of cleanliness of certain sections of the tower. Some of \nthe more unforgiving of the black robes went so far as to openly \nsuggest the cleaning staff be publicly whipped for their lax \nattitudes. (Personally, I highly doubt any among that group bothered \nto verify the rumors. They simply enjoy the excuse to stir up trouble.) \n\nI, being the official historian, personally went to observe and record \nthe facts and it seems the rumors are true. However, I observed that \nthe apparent mold is, in fact, magical in nature and I am highly \nsuspicious of it and do not imagine that the staff, competent or \notherwise, can successfully deal with it. Sadly, my opinion is \ndrowned out by the majority who cannot be bothered to go and check \nfor themselves but prefer to simply blame someone for the trouble.\n\n\n \/\\ \n _ )( _________________________________________________________ \n(_)\/\/\/\/\/\/\/(**)_________________________________________________________> \n )( \n Page 6 \\\/ A Record from the HToS - Belkira \n\nFinally, I have recently learned that the Mistress has ordered an \ninventory and increased holding level of a wide variety of magical \nreagents. Once again my brethren to whom I have spoken find nothing \nunusual about this incident. I must admit, that were I to \nview it as an isolated case I too might find it to be a normal thing \nfor her to do yet when taken in context I feel that there is \nsomething coming and that the Mistress is aware of it and quietly \npreparing. While I do not know what that event may be, \nI feel a great sense of foreboding and also excitement that \nI may be able to chronicle a significant historical event.\n\n - the end\n\n \/\\ \n _ )( _________________________________________________________ \n(_)\/\/\/\/\/\/\/(**)_________________________________________________________> \n )( \n Page 7 \\\/ Helpfile of the Month - Annale \n\n 'VAST HORIZONS'\n __________________________________________________________________\n \/\\ \\\n \\_| Vast Horizons |\n | |\n | The pace of thought quickens as the mind reaches forth. |\n | |\n | Teleporting adventurers may find themselves in an alternate |\n | dimension.
